Indonesian Traditional Foods has a lot of variety because Indonesia is a land of diversity with difference ethnic groups and difference way of cooked foods. Mainly the main menu of Indonesian food is rice, in some area they like corn and sago.
This time we have dinner at BSD City Banten Province, where the main ethnic living in that area is Sundanese. We have dinner at Bumbu Desa Restaurant, Bumbu Desa mean Villages Spices, and the main menu is Sundanese foods.
Bumbu Desa Restaurant is nice, clean and delicious, it has two level so you could choose to sit in the ground level or upper level, you will be welcoming with Sundanese music.
When you get in the waitress will tell you where you could sit down or you may choose if the table is available. You could go directly to the Foods Bar and choose what menu do you want to have, and which way of cooking do you like.
We choose to have grill squids, fried chickens, stewed mushroom , fried shrimps, fried toufu, sayur asam-sour vegetables, raw vegetables, Leunca vegetables with Oncom-fermented soya beans and some fresh green chilli sauces and sambal belacan-shrimp cakes chilli sauces, and of course steam rice.
Beside the above menu, they also served an oxtail soup, fried or grilled fresh water fish such as golden fish or gurame fish, grilled beef, grilled chickens and many others.
The waitress will offer you something to drinks, you may have ice coconut juice, fruit juices, tea, mineral water, coffee espresso, coffee latte or cappucino, the price is reasonable, juices around US$1.00 per glass.
The price of foods not so expensive, for 5 persons including drinks only cost us US$15.00.
